Indeed, William Butler Yeats would readily approve of calling this magnificent 29 acre estate, Innisfree. It consists of a Tudor style, 2-story manor house (3000 sf), a Tudor style two story guest house (1800 sf), a custom designed 20,000 sf riding pavillion with a splendid guest apartment, as well as enclosed viewing room for horse shows. Additionally, there's the proverbial red barm hosting an outdoor riding arena. Both the manor house and the guest house have detached 2-car garages.
The landscape is rolling, gentle green hills divided into grazing paddocks for the horses, as well as criss-crossing riding trails that go on for miles. And, when the weather's hot you can plunge into your very own swiming pond, and maybe fish a bit, too.
Walking into the manor house is to enter into the Elizabethan age. The main salon is Tudor at its best - high cathredral ceiling, walnut stained beams and floors, a large fieldstone fireplace,leaded glass windows circling the room high up the walls, two polished brass chandeliers, and lots of space for performing your madrigals.
The kitchen is all 21st century - all stainless steel appliances, all top of the line, like the Garland stove; off-white marble floors, and durable, germ resistant corian countertops. Just off the kitchen is a gem of a breakfast room in sunny yellow with hand painted floral designs, flooding with light from its north and east windows. And, off the far end of the kitchen is the handsome formal dining room with walnut stained wood floors, moldings and an expansive west facing window. At night the room takes on a romantic glow from the large brass chandelier.
Down the hall and down a few steps is a most inviting den-reading-media room, beautifully paneled with floor-to-ceiling bookcases; a large east facing window provides welcome light during the day. Adjacent is a guest lavatory, replete with a stall shower.
There are two bedrooms on the upper level. One is a delightful guest bedrrom with a marble en-suite bathroom, nesting neatly under the slanting eaves. A charmer. The master bedroom is a spacious suite of rooms. The bedroom, itself, is guite large with a fieldstone wood burning fireplace, a large reading area, two separate bathrooms and dressing areas and a serendipitous windowed gallery for reading, writing, meditating, or just plain eyeing the delightful scenery of expansive lawns, large shade trees and a tantalizing horizon, edging the big expanding sky.
On the lower level of the manor house is an au-pair/housekeeper room, a complete bathroom, and its own entrance door. Additionally, there's a laundry room, storage areas, and utilities room.
The guest house is also Tudor style. Large living room with fireplace, family room, long galley kitchen and two bedrooms and bathroom on the second floor. Adjacemt is a detacjed 2-car garage. It has been converted into an office space, with separate door and full bathroom.
The riding pavillion is a world-class, 20,000 square foot building. It was custom designed and constructed of only the best of materials. The indoor riding arena has a special misting system to mitigate any dust build-up when riding. There's a viewing room on the second floor along with a guest apartment with a granite counter-top, stainless kitchen, a large reception room, two bedrooms and a big storage room.
There are eight (8) imported English Loddon horse stalls, a superb tack room, and ample parking for off-loading horses, as well accommodating guest's cars. Surrounding the pavillion are split rail grazing paddocks, running up the sides of the encircling hills, offering splendid views for both man and beast.
